Terri Drew Smith is a founder and principal associate of Smith Canciglia Consulting, Inc., a government relations, political consulting, and public affairs firm based in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. Prior to co-founding Smith Canciglia Consulting, Ms. Smith’s professional career has spanned a variety of top-level political and legislative-related positions, including Senior Vice President of the an influential, bipartisan DC-based lobbying firm, as well as over twenty years of experience conducting all facets of lobbying Congress for the National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action.

Ms. Smith’s decades of lobbying and legislative skills include experience in grassroots campaigning, drafting/influencing public policy, and frontline political lobbying expertise. As the Director for the NRA's Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF), Ms. Smith coordinated the NRA’s activities in over 2,000 campaigns for federal office. This included United States House and Senate races and Presidential campaigns from 1979 to 2001. Ms. Smith has met with and provided campaign strategy and support to over 7,000 candidates. Many of these former candidates are now elected officials serving as committee and sub-committee chairmen in both the US House of Representatives and the US Senate.

Ms. Smith’s expertise in the national legislative arena is comprehensive. As NRA's Senior Federal Lobbyist, she wrote and delivered testimony before Congressional Committees. She also led the fight for NRA on a wide spectrum of issues, including campaign finance reform and the Firearms Owner’s Protection bill. She also served as the NRA's non-governmental observer to the United Nations Environmental Program's (UNEP) Conference on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).

Ms. Smith has been a guest lecturer in a number of venues, including the National Republican Congressional Committee, the Republican National Committee, Presidential Classroom, the College of William and Mary, George Washington University, and other academic environments, as well as campaign schools and seminars such as those sponsored by Campaigns and Elections. Ms. Smith has been interviewed numerous times on radio and television regarding both legislative and political issues. She has also published a variety of articles on Congress, politics, and wildlife issues.

Ms. Smith is an accomplished musician and an active member of the Loudoun County Symphonic Winds. She serves as an officer on the Board of Directors for the Loudoun County Community Bands, Inc. Ms. Smith currently resides in Northern Virginia.

John Paul Elliott, is an associate of Smith Canciglia Consulting, Inc. He is a specialist in media relations and training. Mr. Elliott also directs a television production, research, and communications firm. His clients include the US State Department, German ZDF Television, German Sat 1 Television, and the Dutch VPRO and EO networks. Elliott served as Washington Bureau Chief for Tijdsein and 2Vandaag Dutch Television News for twelve years. He has over twenty years experience as a journalist, writer, and historian.

As Washington correspondent for 2Vandaag Dutch Television, Mr. Elliott covered major news events in the United States such as the OJ Simpson trial, the Columbine shootings, and the presidential campaigns of 1992, 1996, and 2000. A tenacious correspondent, Mr. Elliott reported from New York City after 9/11, was the first journalist to see the CIA’s declassified documents on the World War II Swedish diplomat Raul Wallenberg, and was the only European journalist to obtain an interview with the president of the Church of Scientology during its dispute with the German government in 1997. In addition to his television work, Mr. Elliott writes a column about Washington politics for Christian Renewal magazine.

Mr. Elliott has a PhD in European History from Columbia University and speaks fluent German and Dutch. He has lived in the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria and currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and three children. His son, John Andrew, is his partner in the television production firm.

Jennifer Leigh Anderson is an associate of Smith Canciglia Consulting, Inc. She is a specialist in the areas of counterterrorism, intelligence, and national security issues. With over 25 years of experience in both military and federal service, Ms. Anderson is a recognized expert regarding the threats posed by foreign intelligence and terrorist entities and is conversant in multiple additional facets of intelligence.

She began her career conducting signals intelligence collection overseas while on active duty with the US military. She is a credentialed Counterintelligence Agent and has training and experience in surveillance and other operational activities. As a civilian serving in the Intelligence and Threat Analysis Center she became a community expert in terrorism and counterintelligence analysis, ultimately serving as the chief of a terrorism analysis branch that had a worldwide focus.

Because of her exceptional counterintelligence background, Ms. Anderson was recruited by the Defense Intelligence Agency. At DIA she served as a regional expert involved in assessing the foreign intelligence threat posed to U.S. interests abroad. Ms. Anderson, who is a Commander in the US Naval Reserves, was recalled to active duty following the events of September 11, 2001 to support operations against terrorism and espionage. Following this active duty service, Ms. Anderson was recruited by a federal agency and worked on espionage investigations. Still a reservist, she now serves during drills as the Operations Officer for a Naval Reserve unit that includes both agents and analysts who participate in counterterrorism and counterintelligence activities.

Prior to becoming an associate with Smith Canciglia Consulting, Inc., Ms. Anderson in her civilian positions had briefed the Navy's General Counsel, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the Directors of the Defense Intelligence Agency, and other senior officials in the intelligence community.

Ms. Anderson holds a Masters of Science in Strategic Intelligence. She currently lives in the Washington, D.C. area with her husband.

Gerry Michael Wisz, an associate of Smith Canciglia Consulting, Inc., brings an extensive 25-plus year background in journalism, corporate communications, public and media relations, and marketing consulting. For the past eight years Gerry has managed GW Communications, a public relations and marketing consulting agency headquartered just outside of NYC, a firm known for its results-oriented and high-quality public and media relations services. GW Communications has had as clients or lead significant project work for companies such as Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, Arthur Andersen (pre-Enron), Morgan Stanley, The Bank of New York, and Intel. Wisz’s media savvy, counsel, and placement skills have also been sought after by many smaller companies desiring to build a trajectory for venture funding or sale of the company to larger institutions.

Before founding GW Communications, Gerry was Director, Public and Investor Relations for SS&C Technologies in Windsor, CT; prior to this, he was Vice President of Client Services at Lochner & Hawk Public Relations in New York, NY, where he managed accounts and built the company’s capital markets practice. In the early 1990’s Wisz was a founding journalist of Securities Industry News, which was later sold to Thomson Financial Services and still publishes.

Given his industry knowledge, network and journalistic background, Gerry is a sought-after advocate and company spokesperson. On a consulting basis, he has performed PR and/or marketing communications services for, in addition to those mentioned, Thomson Financial, FSI Advisors, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard, as well as several asset management firms (e.g. ThomasLloyd AG, Garrett Capital Management, and ProfitScore Asset Management). Aside from the many trade publications it regularly works with, GW Communications has placed for its clients numerous articles in Forbes, Forbes.com, Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones, Barrons, Bloomberg, CNN, Financial Times, MarketWatch.com, TheStreet.com, and many others.

Mr. Wisz lives with his wife and four of their eight children outside of NYC.

Lawrence Eugene Jones, is a Smith Canciglia Consulting, Inc. associate. He is experienced in multiple disciplines, to include engineering, energy development, and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions. His primary focus is energy projects and financing energy-related development with utility companies and Fortune 100 companies (such as Chevron, GE, and many others) as well as independent power producers. He has worked with the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Export Import Bank and other foreign export credit agencies.

Mr. Jones has substantial experience in US Navy operational engineering, utility planning and financial industry/project financing. He has held senior utility engineering positions and VP positions for project financing at Dexia, Bank of Montreal, Dresdner, JP Morgan, Chase and other New York City financial institutions involved in underwriting energy projects and energy development.

Mr. Jones is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland. Following his graduation, he served in several naval commands and fleet operations as a Lieutenant. He also served as a Captain in the US Naval Reserves.

Mr. Jones has an MBA in finance and real estate with previous licensing in securities (series 7 and 66), and a California brokers license. He also holds an active and practicing Engineering License.

Mr. Jones lives with his wife and five children in the San Francisco Bay area of California.
